So I did some digging and I found this website which is a branch of the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management that has a "Cryptid's of North America," website. Not only is there a whole map, but there is also clippings and pictures as well as stories about the Cryptid. I am actually amazed by how cool this website is with newspapers from the 1800s and timelines of different creatures and locations on where they'd be located. You can also access federal land conveyance records from 1788 to the present and I think that is crazy. People can access photographs and field notes ranging back that far as well.

Looking into the Jersey devil is interesting, the sightings go back to 1735 and people describe the creature as half human half devil. Here is an account of a man claiming he has seen it. There is also a page on the State of New Jersey's website discussing the Jersey Devil and what he looks like.

The Sasquatch is considered to be a human-like creature that lives in the Northwestern United States and Western Canada. Link. The first discovery of sasquatch footprints were in 1811. He is described to be about 6 to 15 feet tall and his footprints have been measured being about 24 inches.

I think I will keep digging into these websites, and looking more at the maps and different documentation of the cryptids, but I think it is super interesting that there are government records of these reports.

Introduction to All Things Sav

This photo was taken pre-COVID by my sister Hey guys! My name is Savannah, I am a Senior PR major at the University of Oklahoma with a concentration in pre-law and a minor in History! I am taking a gap year in order to prepare for law school and hopefully enroll in the fall of 2022. A weird fact about me is I've moved around a lot, I was born in Delaware, then moved to Georgia in Elementary school. In Middle School, I moved to Shanghai China and believe me growing up in a country where no one understands you is a bit frustrating, especially when middle school is already as difficult as it is. Week 13 Reading Notes B: King Arthur

Sir Lancelot tied his horse to a tree and stopped for a bit. He dreamed of knights and woke up and his horse was gone so he left by foot. Sir Bors was told by the hermit that he must wear this garment instead of a shirt on his quest for the grail. He took off his clothes and put on a scarlet coat. On shore he found a vessel and as soon he stepped foot onto the boat it took off as if he had been flying. The king fell ill, and soon he may die. The three knights gave their forgiveness while he was on his death bed. Galahad was proclaimed king, Galahad's soul left his body and was carried by angels up to heaven. Since then no man dared to say they had seen the holy grail. When a year and two months passed Sir Percivale died as well and was buried by his side.
